TRADE: Raiders Trade S Shalom Luani To Seahawks

According to Michael Gehlken, the Raiders have traded S Shalom Luani to the Seahawks on Saturday as they cut their roster down to 53 players.

This trade reunites Luani with his former defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr in Seattle.

Luani, 24, is a former seventh-round pick by the Raiders in last year’s NFL Draft out of Washington State. He is entering the second year of his four-year, $2.49 million rookie contract and is set to earn a base salary of $555,000 this season.

In 2017, Luani appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and recorded 18 total tackles, two pass defenses, and no interceptions.
