Trading Vick Or Kolb?

The quarterback situation in Philadelphia never seems to be  lacking in the drama department. After suffering a concussion in week 1, Kevin Kolb found himself sitting in the No. 2 spot on the teams depth chart until Michael Vick went down with his own injury. Kolb has stepped in and played great in Vick’s absence but his success doesn’t make the Eagles long-term decision any easier.

Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News offers up his take on the situation by suggesting that the Eagles could keep Vick as their future quarterback and trade Kolb this offseason for draft picks. Vick has looked good this season and is good enough to be starting in the NFL this season and years to come.

ESPN’s Matt Mosley suggest that the Eagles should do just the opposite and stick with Kolb as the teams future quarterback. Mosley mentions that Vick isn’t likely to become a pocket passer in the coming years and his ability to elude defenders is most likely to be the first thing that goes. He concluded that Vick remains more of a risk than Kolb because of his age and playing style.

This situation will no doubt be one of the more interesting stories as the year progresses.
