Trent Cole To Visit With Browns On Sunday & Colts On Monday

Derrick Gunn of CSN Philly reports that former Eagles OLB Trent Cole has scheduled visits with the Browns on Sunday and the Colts on Monday.

Adam Caplan confirms the news and adds that the Cardinals are also interested in Free.

  • Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reported earlier in the day that Cole is visiting with the Buccaneers Friday and would meet with the Colts if he leaves Tampa Bay without a contract.
  • Barrows mentioned on Thursday that the 49ers and Seahawks are also interested in Cole as well.

The Eagles said that they haven’t closed the door on bringing Cole back either, so there appears to be a solid market for his services right now.

Cole, 32, recorded 52 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles over the course of 15 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 outside linebacker in a 3-4 system out of 46 qualifying players.

We’ll have more updates regarding Cole and potential landing spots as the news is available.
