Trent Richardson To Have Surgery

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that Browns running back Trent Richardson will have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee today to remove the “hang-nail particle” of loose cartilage.

Cabot tweeted, “#Browns RB Trent Richardson is definitely having the arthroscopic surgery today to remove tiny piece of cartilage, source told PD.”

This is a minor knee procedure as the expected recovery time is only two weeks. Being that the recovery time is so short, it is possible that Richardson could see some playing time this preseason. This is the number three overall pick’s second surgery on his left knee in six months. Look for the Browns to limit Richardson’s workload early on in the season
