UNC QB Mitch Trubisky Visiting Jets On Thursday

Adam Caplan reports that the Jets are hosting UNC QB Mitch Trubisky for a pre-draft visit on Thursday.

The Jets have been doing work on all of the quarterback prospects in this year’s draft, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise. The question is whether they would consider taking Trubiski at No. 6 overall after they used mid-round picks on quarterbacks the past few years.

Recent reports have said that the Browns are still weighing the possibility of taking him with the No. 1 overall pick. However, the consensus still appears to be that Myles Garrett will likely be the first player taken.

Trubisky visited with the Cardinals on Tuesday after he had dinner owner Michael Bidwill, GM Steve Keim and HC Bruce Arians Monday night.

So far, Trubisky worked out for the Bills, 49ers, Jets, Chiefs and Browns .

Trubisky, 22, is considered by a number of draft experts to be the No. 1 quarterback prospect in this year’s draft class, even though he started just one year at North Carolina.

During his three-year college career, Trubisky has thrown for 4,762 yards while completing 67.5 percent of his passes to go along with 41 touchdowns and 10 interceptions over the course of 31 games. He’s also contributed another 439 yards rushing and eight touchdowns.

We have him being selected by the Browns in the first Round of our 2017 NFL Mock Draft.
