Update: Aaron Schobel

As of right now Schobels suitors list consists of the Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.

Mike Giardi of CSN New England tweeted that his sources are saying the Patriots have strong interest in the DE. It would be fairly surprising to see the Patriots give Aaron Schobel a competitive offer when star-left guard Logan Mankins is holding out which could leave them will a huge hole to fill.

Seattle Gm John Schneider made an appearance on John Claytons show on KIRO-AM and mentioned that the team is definitely interested Schobel. On his teams interest he said “Absolutely, but he sounds like he is well on his way to Houston.”

One other side not, Houston is Schobels home town and his former defensive line coach is currently holding the same position with the Texans.

It was reported by Adam Schefter yesterday that Aaron Schobel will be released by the Buffalo Bills and that Schobel will be talking with other teams upon his release.

It’s a good thing for Schobel that there are several teams that are currently looking to add some depth at defensive end. Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com mentioned that the Patriots could be interested in replacing Derrick Burgess with Schobel. Now there are two seperate reports that have the Seahawks and Texans as possible suitors for DE.

Adewale Ogunleye is another available DE that has also been rumored to be options for Patriots and Seahawks but teams haven’t expressed that much interest up to this point in time.
