Update: Detroit beats out Houston & Seattle for Polumbus

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that the Detroit Lions have beat out the Texans and Seahawk’s for Tyler Polumbus. Since the Lions had the worst record last season, they have the top waiver priority which helped them trump the others for his services.

Polumbus had been one of the most reliable offensive lineman for Broncos before he was released but the Lions will gladly add the depth to their offensive line.

Just days after the Denver Broncos chose to cut Tyler Polumbus, Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post reports that the Detroit Lions have won the rights to claim the offensive lineman.

There have been reports that the Lions are not happy with the production that they have gotten out of right-tackle Gosder Cherilus which may me the reason that the team chose to place a claim on Polumbus.
