Update On The Eagles HC Search

The Philadelphia Inquirer & Daily News reports that the Eagles are scheduled to interview Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone in Arizona this weekend.

Marrone has been the Syracuse head coach since 2009 after having spent three years as Sean Payton‘s offensive coordinator in New Orleans. Previously, he spent four years as the Jets offensive line coach. Currently Marrone has an overall record of 25-25 in his three years as a head coach.

A source close to the situation reports that the Eagles will host various candidates this weekend for the vacant head coaching position which include: Denver’s Mike McCoy, Colt’s Bruce Arians, Seattle’s Gus Bradley and Oregon’s Chip Kelly.

Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles are expected to request permission to speak with Bengals OC Jay Gruden as well.

Various reports from last night suggested that Kelly was on the verge of signing with the Cleveland Browns, but he also met with the Bills late Friday night and will interview with the Eagles today.
