Update Regarding The Giants Backfield

Ahmad Bradshaw

Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News reports that RB Ahmad Bradshaw said that his often injured foot “feels great,” but adds that he “wanted to take it slow” during minicamp.

Bradshaw reportedly took most of the most of the first team reps during Giants minicamp but the Giants staff will likely be cautious with him so that they aren’t even thinner at the runningback position than they already are.

David Wilson

Offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said of RB David Wilson that, “I don’t know if we’ve had a guy as explosive, regardless of the position, here,” per Ralph Vacchiano.

Gilbride went even further to say that, “I don’t know if we’ve seen quite the darting, the exposiveness in short bursts that we’ve seen with him……..that’s kind of exciting to see.

Wilson is expected to sit behind Bradshaw come week one due to very raw pass-catching skills, but it seems that the Giants will be taking a runningback by committee approach to ensure that Bradshaw stays healthy for longer.
