The Texans are in the process of negotiating a new deal with star WR Andre Johnson that would make him the highest paid receiver in the league. The report comes from the Houston Chronicle who also added that team owner, Bob McNair, expects the deal to be finalized within the next two weeks.

Johnson current deal is paying him $5.8 million this season. Currently Larry Fitzgerald is the leagues highest paid receiver at $10 million per year so Johnson will look to top that with this deal.
