Veteran DL Kendall Langford announced via his Twitter account Wednesday night that he’s signing a contract with the Saints.

Langford has tried out for a handful of teams in the past few weeks including the Saints a few days ago, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential addition.

Langford, 31, is a former third-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2008. He spent four years in Miami and played three seasons for the Rams before signing a four-year, $17.2 million contract with the Colts back in 2015.

Langford was set to make base salaries of $4 million (2017) and $4.2 million (2018) over the remainder of the contract when the Colts released him with a failed physical back in August.

In 2016, Langford appeared in eight games for the Colts and recorded 10 tackles, no sacks, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
