Veteran OT Gosder Cherilus Retiring From NFL

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that veteran OTĀ Gosder Cherilus does not intend to participate in free agency and instead plans to retire from the NFL.

Cherilus, 32, is a former first-round pick of the Lions back in 2008. He spent five years in Detroit before departing in free agency and signing on with the Colts.

Unfortunately, the Colts released him after two years and he later signed a two-year, $7 million contract with the Buccaneers in 2015. He played out the agreement and is currently an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016,Ā Cherilus was active for 15 games and played a total of 210 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
