Veteran OT Will Svitek Retiring From NFL

Veteran OT Will Svitek announced that he’s retiring from the NFL on Thursday via his Linkedin page, per Adam Caplan.

Svitek, 33, is a former sixth round pick of the Chiefs back in 2005. He spent the first three years of his career in Kansas City before he was cut loose at the start of the 2008 season.

The Falcons later gave him an opportunity in February of 2009 and he would go on to play four seasons in Atlanta. After that, Svitek had brief stints with the Patriots and Bengals before joining the Titans as an unrestricted free agent in October of last year.

All in all, Svitek played in 79 games over the course of his nine-year NFL career.
