Veteran RB Robert Turbin Goes Unclaimed, Now Free Agent

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that former Colts RB Robert Turbin officially passed through waivers unclaimed on Monday, which means he’s now a free agent.

Turbin, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He was waived by the Seahawks during the 2015 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Browns.

Turbin’s stay in Cleveland was short-lived, as the Browns wound up waiving him after just a few months. The Cowboys later signed him to a contract and gave him the opportunity to finish out the year in Dallas.

The Colts signed Turbin in March of last year and brought him back on a two-year, $2.7 million contract. However, Indianapolis elected to move on from him last week.

In 2018, Turbin has appeared in two games for the Colts and rushed for 10 yards on four carries (2.5 YPC) to go along with one reception for three yards and no touchdowns.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
