Veteran S Ryan Clark Retiring From NFL

Veteran S Ryan Clark announced that he’s retiring from the NFL on ESPN’s NFL Live, per Scott Brown.

To no surprise, Clark said he plans to retire as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Clark, 35, already has a job with ESPN and would have been an unrestricted free agent in the next few weeks. With a new GM in place in Washington, it seemed unlikely that he would be back with the Redskins in 2015.

He entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in 2002. He played for the Giants, Redskins, and Steelers over the course of his career.

During his 13-years in NFL, Clark recorded 643 tackles, four sacks, 16 interceptions, four forced fumbles and eight recoveries.
