Veteran TE Jacob Tamme Retiring From NFL

Veteran TE Jacob Tamme announced his retirement from the NFL on Thursday.

Tamme, 32, is a former fourth-round pick of the Colts back in 2008. He spent four years in Indianapolis before signing on with the Broncos back in 2012.

The Falcons later signed him to a two-year, $4 million contract that included $400,000 guaranteed back in 2015 and he has been testing the open market since March.

In 2016, Tamme appeared in eight games for the Falcons and caught 22 passes for 210 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 14 tight end out of 63 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
