Veteran WR Brandon Lloyd Retires From NFL

Veteran WR Brandon Lloyd announced his retirement from the NFL on Thursday, per Nick Wagoner.

Lloyd, 34, is a former fourth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2003. He played for a number of NFL teams over the course of his 13-year NFL career including the Redskins, Bears, Broncos, Rams, and Patriots.

He was a Pro Bowl selection during the 2010 season while playing for the Broncos and wound up being a second-team All-Pro that year.

During his 13 years in the NFL, Lloyd caught 399 passes for 5,989 yards receiving to go along with 36 touchdowns over the course of 142 games.
