Veteran WR Greg Jennings Announces Retirement From NFL

Veteran WR Greg Jennings announced Monday that he’s retiring from the NFL.

Jennings, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Packers back in 2006. He spent seven years with the Packers before signing a big-money contract with the Vikings in 2013 as a free agent.

Jennings lasted just two years in Minnesota before signing on with the Dolphins last year. He was entering the final year of his two-year, $8 million contract with Miami when they released him in a move that cleared $4 million in available cap space.

In 2015, Jennings appeared in all 16 games and recorded 19 receptions for 208 yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 110 receiver out of 121 qualifying players.

In total, Jennings recorded 571 receptions for 8,291 yards receiving and 64 touchdowns over the course of 10 seasons in the NFL. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and helped the Packers win a Super Bowl in 2010.
