Falcons Place WR Lance Moore On Reserve/Retired List

Update:

The Atlanta Falcons officially placed veteran WR Lance Moore on the reserve/retired list Monday.

This move will allow the Falcons to hold Moore’s rights in the event he elects to come out of retirement and return to the NFL.

The Falcons announced Monday that veteran WR Lance Moore has announced his retirement from the NFL after 10 seasons in the league.

This comes just a few days after Moore signed a one-year contract with the Falcons.

Moore, 32, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo back in 2005. He lasted just a few months before joining the Saints midseason.

Moore spent the first nine years of his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints before he joined the Steelers as a free agent back in 2014. Unfortunately for Moore, he was released by Pittsburgh in March of last year before later signing a one-year contract with the Lions.

Over the course of his 10-year career, Moore totaled 389 receptions for 4,816 yards receiving (12.4 YPR) to go along with 44 touchdowns for the Saints, Lions and Steelers.
