Vikings CB Antoine Winfield Is Done For The Season

Prior to last nights loss to the Green Bay Packers, there was a lot made about the return of CB Antoine Winfield to the Vikings defense but unfortunately for them Aaron Rodgers was still able to dismantle their defense.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Winfield suffered a broken clavicle during the game and will be out for the rest of the 2011 season.

It’s really been a terrible season for anyone not named Adrian Peterson or Jared Allen on the Vikings team but Winfield will have enough time to recover from the injury and be able to play in Week 1 of next season. Winfield is currently 34 and is under contract until 2014 at $7 million and $7.25 million, respectively, for the next two seasons.
