Vikings Claim CB Julian Posey Off Waivers From Browns, Waive DB Kip Edwards

 

The Minnesota Vikings claimed DB Julian Posey off of waiver from the Browns on Monday and subsequently waived DB Kip Edwards.

Even though the Vikings say they “signed” Posey, Adam Caplan confirms that the transaction was a waiver, which makes sense when you consider that the Browns waived him on Friday.

Posey, 25, signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio back in 2011. He spent a year with the Dolphins before signing to the Browns’ practice squad in September of last year.

He did appeared in five games for the Browns in 2013 and totaled six tackles and a sack.
