Vikings Down To Three Options For The #3 Pick

Minnesota Vikings GM Rick Spielman has reportedly narrowed their consideration down to three players, should they keep the #3 overall pick

Spielman has his staff evaluating game tape on USC LT Matt Kalil, LSU CB Morris Claiborne, and Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon, which is by no means a surprise considering that many have had those three players as the teams’ best options.

“What you’re saying (to the staff) is, ‘All these guys have equal ability,’ ” Spielman explained to the Pioneer Press. “What do you want? Do you want the receiver? Do you want the tackle? Do you want the corner?‘ ”

If that’s really how they’re looking at things, then there’s a better chance that they could up passing on Kalil and taking Claiborne, considering that cornerback could, arguably, be a bigger need for them.
