Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Vikings are wrapping up a deal with free agent OT Mike Remmers. A source tells Garafolo that an agreement is expected to be in place at some point today.

According to Garafolo, the Vikings will likely play Riley Reiff at left tackle and Remmers at right tackle this season.

Remmers, 27, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in 2012. He lasted just a few months with the team before signing on to the Buccaneers practice squad a week into the 2012 season.

Since then, Remmers has played for a few teams including the Chargers, Vikings and Rams before he signed to the Panthers’ active roster in 2014. Carolina brought Remmers back in a one-year, restricted deal last year.

In 2016, Remmers appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 51 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
