Vikings Have Shown Some Interest In RB LaRod Stephens-Howling

According to Ben Goessling of ESPN.com, the Minnesota Vikings have shown some interest in free agent RB LaRod Stephens-Howling, as well as some other veteran running backs.

Goessling mentions that Stephens-Howling previously played for Vikings RBs coach Kirby Wilson last year. However, Stephens-Howling is coming off a torn ACL, so there is some concern regarding how he’ll respond next season.

The Vikings lost backup RB Toby Gerhart to the Jaguars earlier in free agency and now have Matt Asiata, Bradley Randle and Joe Banyard backing up Adrian Peterson.

There are some decent running backs available such as Knowshon Moreno, Maurice Jones-Drew and LeGarrette Blount, but we’ve yet to see anything connecting them to Minnesota.
