Vikings Hosting RB Latavius Murray For Visit

Adam Schefter reports that the Vikings are hosting free agent RB Latavius Murray for a visit on Tuesday.

Murray previously met with the Seahawks and Jaguars, but many assumed that the Vikings could be a potential landing spot for him.

The running back market is starting to pick up in recent days with Eddie Lacy signing with the Seahawks and some other less notable moves, so it’s possible that pieces could begin to fall in place over the next few days.

Murray, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.266 million rookie contract and is now one of the best available running backs in this year’s free agent class.

In 2016, Murray has rushed for 788 yards on 195 carries (4 YPC) to go along with 12 rushing touchdowns and 33 receptions for 264 yards receiving. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 21 running back out of 61 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
