Vikings Interested In Signing Packers WR Donald Driver?

FOX 11 Sports in Green Bay is reporting that the Minnesota Vikings are interested in signing long-time Packers WR Donald Driver, via Fox Sports Wisconsin.

“I think I could go to any team and be either their No. 1 or No. 2 guy and be solid for another three years,” said Driver a few weeks ago. “The question is, do I want to see myself in another uniform? Will my family want to see that? If nobody wants to see it, at the end of the day, it will still be a tough decision because I’ve always said I only want to wear that green and gold and nothing else.

Driver will be 38 this Saturday and was relegated to being the Packers No. 5 for much of the 2012 season. He has said previously that he’s interested in playing few more years, but it’s hard to imagine that any NFL team would view him as No. 1 or No. 2 receiver at this point in his career. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in the coming months, so we should have a better idea of whether or not there’s going to be market for services and if the Vikings are truly interested in signing him.
