Vikings Making A “Strong Push” For Free Agent G Clint Boling

Chris Tomasson reports that the Vikings are making a strong push for Bengals free agent G Clint Boling.

This is interesting considering that Boling ha played for Mike Zimmer while the two of them were together in Cincinnati.

Ryan Goldin, Boling’s trainer, said on Monday that Zimmer being in charge of the Vikings is one of the main reason why he’s considering the Vikings.

“He has a lot of interest in the Vikings,’’ Goldin said. “I know he likes the Vikings organization. It’s going to be an interesting 24 hours.’’

Metro New York previously reported that the Jets were a team to watch for Boling, but they are also expected to considering other offensive line options as well.

Boling, 25, appeared in all 16 games for the Bengals last year and graded out as the No. 19 guard out of 78 qualifying players, according to Pro Football Focus.
