Vikings Not Expected To Work Out UCF QB Blake Bortles

Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings are not expected to bring UCF QB Blake Bortles in for a visit or a private workout before the NFL Draft.

Tomasson’s source added that Minnesota saw enough of him during his Pro Day workout back in March that a pre-draft visit isn’t needed.

The team met with him privately during their visit to Florida, so it’s not as though he isn’t on their radar at all.

Bortles has already visited with the Browns, Jaguars, Texans and Raiders, so he’s clearly being considered by teams drafting in the top ten.

Minnesota has met with quarterbacks Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M), Teddy Bridgewater (Louisville), Jimmy Garoppolo (Eastern Illinois), Zach Mettenberger (LSU) and Keith Wenning (Ball State).

We have the Raiders taking Bortles at No. 5 overall in our most recent 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
