Vikings One Of Four Teams In The Mix For CB Nickell Robey-Coleman

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings are one of four teams currently in the mix for free agent CB Nickell Robey-Coleman.

Tomasson mentions that Robey-Coleman could replace CB Captain Munnerlyn, who departed for a contract with the Panthers, in the slot.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Robey-Coleman to a contract won’t impact a team’s compensatory picks, considering that he was released.

Robey-Coleman, 25, wound up signing on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of USC back in 2013. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season and received a two-year extension in 2015.

However, the Bills somewhat surprising elected to cut him loose last week.

Last year, Robey-Coleman appeared in all 16 games for the Bills and recorded 35 tackles, two interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, a forced fumble, a recovery returned for a touchdown and six pass defenses.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
