Vikings Place OL Nick Easton On IR, Sign LS Jeff Overbaugh

The Minnesota Vikings announced Tuesday that they’ve placed G Nick Easton on injured reserve and signed LS Jeff Overbaugh to a contract.

Easton, unfortunately, suffered a fractured ankle that will require surgery during Sunday’s game.

Easton, 25, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out Harvard back in 2015. He was later traded to the 49ers return for a seventh-round pick.

San Francisco elected to trade Easton to the Vikings for LB Gerald Hodges a few months later.

In 2017, Easton appeared in 11 games for the Vikings and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 62 guard out of 78 qualifying players.
