Vikings Place Rookie TE Bucky Hodges On Injured Reserve After Clearing Waivers

The Minnesota Vikings officially placed rookie TEĀ Bucky Hodges on injured reserve after he passed through waivers unclaimed on Monday.

Hodges, 22, was taken in the sixth-round of this year’s NFL draft by the Vikings. He signed a four-year, $2.55-million contract with the Vikings and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the agreement.

During his college career at Virgina Tech, Hodges caught 133 passes for 1,747 yards receiving and 20 touchdowns to go along with 89 rushing and 21 total touchdowns over the course of 39 games.
