Vikings Promote S Ahmad Dixon From Practice Squad

The Minnesota Vikings have signed S Ahmad Dixon from their practice squad on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan.

Minnesota added him to their taxi squad close to two weeks ago after they placed rookie RB Jerick McKinnon season-ending injured reserve.

Dixon, 23, was taken in the seventh round of this year’s NFL draft by the Cowboys. However, he was unable to make the team out of training camp and was among their final roster cuts.

During his four years at Baylor, Dixon recorded 288 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, one sack, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and scored a defensive touchdown.
