Vikings Pursuing Receivers To Replace Sidney Rice

ESPN’s John Clayton has remained adamant that the Minnesota Vikings will be in on Jets WR Braylon Edwards. He adds the Green Bay Packers wide out James Jones as another possible option.

The loss of Sidney Rice to the Seattle Seahawks is defiantly a tough loss for their offense. Adrian Peterson tweeted yesterday that he was shocked the Vikings let him go to Seattle even though I’m sure that they tried very to keep him.

Edwards won’t bring the same skill set to Minnesota but has proven to be a pretty good receiver in the last few years. James Jones should get better but he played in a very good passing offense with one of the leagues best quarterbacks so there is some concern about the talent of the player that you’re getting if you choose to bring him in. Keep mind that the Packers are letting him walk.
