Vikings Re-Signing CB Marcus Sherels To A Two-Year Deal

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings have reached an agreement with CB Marcus Sherels on two-year contract that he plans to sign on Monday.

Sherels visited with the Jets on Thursday, but wound up leaving New York without an agreement in place.

Sherels, 28, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Minnesota back in 2010. He was on an off of their practice squad during his first year, but was managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his final three years.

The Vikings elected to bring him back last year on a one-year deal.

In 2015, Sherels appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and recorded eight tackles while contributing 311 punt return yards and a touchdown on special teams.
