Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that the Vikings have re-signed DT Kenrick Ellis to a one-year contract on Saturday.

This is the second player the Vikings have re-signed today, after they brought back S Andrew Sendejo on a reported four-year, $16 million contract.

Ellis, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Jets back in 2011. He played out his rookie before landing a one-year, $1.475 million contract with the Giants back in March of last year.

However, he wound up being among their roster cuts at the start of the season. The Vikings later signed him to a contract in October.

In 2015, Ellis appeared in nine games for the Vikings and recorded five tackles. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing a total of 89 snaps last year.
