Vikings Re-Sign RFA C Nick Easton

According to Jason La Canfora, Vikings restricted free agent C Nick EastonĀ is signing his one-year restricted tender for the 2018 season on Monday.

Minnesota placed a second-round tender on Easton, which will cost them $2.914 for the 2018 season.

Easton, 25, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out Harvard back in 2015. He was later traded to the 49ers return for a seventh-round pick.

San Francisco elected to trade Easton to the Vikings for LB Gerald Hodges a few months later. He suffered a fractured ankle in December of last year that landed him on the injured reserve.

In 2017, Easton appeared in 11 games for the Vikings and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 62 guard out of 78 qualifying players.
