Vikings Re-Sign RFA FB Zach Line

The Minnesota Vikings announced Monday that they have officially re-signed restricted free agent RB Zach Line.

The Vikings used a low-round tender on Line that will run them $1,671,000 for the 2016 season. This designation gave them the right of first refusal on any contract offer he received, but wouldn’t have included any compensation had they elected to not match an offer.

Line, 25, signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of SMU back in 2013. He was on and off of their practice squad a bit, but managed to make the 53-man roster last year.

In 2015, Line appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and ran for 10 yards on six carries (.6 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 95 yards receiving and three total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 15 fullback out of 22 qualifying players.
