The Vikings and Simpson had both shown interest in a new contract, so it’s really not all that surprising to see him back in Minnesota.
Simpson, 28, totaled 48 receptions for 726 yards receiving and a touchdown over the course of 16 games last season.
Pro Football Focus has Simpson rated as the No. 34 receiver in the league and a very solid blocking receiver.
