Vikings Re-Signing CB Marcus Sherels To One-Year Deal

Chris Tomasson reports that the Vikings are re-signing CB Marcus Sherels to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

Recent reports had said that the Vikings were hoping to get a deal in place with Sherels at some point in the near future and it looks like they managed to finally hammer out the deals of a new one-year contract this week.

Sherels, 30, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Minnesota back in 2010. He has played all eight years of his NFL career in Minnesota and just finished out his two-year, $4,000,000 contract.

Sherels was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Sherels appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and recorded six tackles and no interceptions or pass defenses. He totaled 271 kick return yards and 372 punt yards for Minnesota last year.
