Vikings Re-Signing EFRA OT Jeremiah Sirles

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings have tendered exclusive rights free agent OT Jeremiah Sirles a contract on Friday.

According to Tomasson, Sirles plans to sign the one-year tender worth $690,000 when it’s presented to him.

Sirles, 25, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska back in 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season and spent the year on the team’s practice squad.

The Vikings later traded Sirles to the Vikings in return for a 2016 sixth-round pick that eventually became FB Derek Watt.

In 2016, Sirles appeared in 14 games for the Vikings and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 49 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
