Vikings Release CB A.J. Jefferson Following Recent Arrest

According to the Star-Tribune, Vikings CB A.J. Jefferson was arrested Monday morning on a probable cause domestic assault.

  • Tom Pelissero reports The Vikings released Jefferson shortly after the news of his arrest broke.

Jefferson, 25, is in his fourth year in the NFL and was set to become an unrestricted free agent following the season. He suffered a neck injury during Sunday’s tie with the Packers.

On the season, Jefferson contributed five tackles, one interception and a single pass defensed in 10 games.
