Vikings Release LB Erin Henderson

  • Brian McIntyre mentions that this move will save the Vikings $2 million in cash while freeing up an additional $2.1 million in cap space.

Henderson, 27, appeared in 14 games for the Vikings in 2013 totaling 112 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble.

He was arrested on suspicion of DUI Wednesday at the end of the December, which was the second arrest of this nature for Henderson since last November.

Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 18 inside linebacker this season. The Buccaneers could be a team to watch regarding Henderson given that his former head coach and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier is now running their defense.
