Vikings Remain In Contact With DE George Selvie, Could Meet With Him This Week

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings reached out to free agent DE George Selvie last Saturday, and have remained in contact with him in recent days.

According to Tomasson, the Vikings could bring Selvie in for a visit at some point next week now that DE Michael Johnson has elected to sign with the Bengals.

Selvie, 28, is among the best defensive linemen still available in free agency. Overall, there hasn’t been much buzz surrounding him in recent days, but that could change now that we’re in the second wave of free agency.

In 2014, Selvie appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys and recorded 30 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, a recovery and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 37 defensive end in a 3-4 defense out of 59 qualifying players.
