Vikings Sign CB Chris Carr

According to Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network, the Vikings have signed former Ravens CB Chris Carr to a one-year deal.

Carr, 29, had his best year as a pro in 2010, starting all 16 games while recording 54 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions. Last year however, he had a difficult time finding and staying on the field because of a nagging back injury.

The Vikings have stepped in and signed the former Raven, who’ll most likely play the nickle corner position for Minnesota defense that performed very poorly against the pass last season. In fact, they ranked 26th in the league against in that area. Carr could be a good low-cost pickup if he can stay healthy next season.
