The Minnesota Vikings announced Thursday that they signed four draft picks including K Daniel Carlson, G Colby Gossett, DE Ade Aruna and LB Devante Downs.
The Vikings have now signed half of their 2018 draft class ahead of rookie minicamp.
Carlson will get an opportunity to compete for the starting job this summer with K Kai Forbath.
Carlson, 23, was selected in the fifth round of this year’s draft out of Auburn. According to OverTheCap.com, Carlson receives a four-year, $2,709,120 contract that includes $249,120 signing bonus.
During his four-year college career, Carlson converted 92 of 114 (80.7 percent) field goal attempts to go along with all 198 extra point tries.
