Aiyegbusi, 26, is from Warsaw, Poland and has never played a down of college football. However, he’s a massive 6-foot-8, 351 pounds with a 26 1/2-inch vertical jump and ran a 5.28 40-yard dash in recent days.
He has previously played for in the Polish American Football League.
According to Aiyegbusi’s agent, Jeff Griffin, “several teams have called,” him about his client since his Pro Day workout.
“Just his size is going to make people interested,” said one NFL personnel director, via Michael C. Wright of ESPN. “We sent a scout to that workout.”
Aiyegbusi will clearly have to earn a roster spot in training camp and in the preseason, but he’s a low-risk signing for the Vikings who offers a lot of upside if they believe he can develop.
