Vikings Sign RB Bishop Sankey To Practice Squad

The Minnesota Vikings announced that they’ve signed RB Bishop Sankey to their practice squad on Friday.

The Vikings’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. RB CJ Ham 
  2. DT Toby Johnson
  3. WR Moritz Boehringer
  4. WR Isaac Fruechte
  5. DB Tre Roberson
  6. DE Sterling Bailey
  7. OT Austin Shepherd
  8. DB Cedric Thompson
  9. TE MyCole Pruitt
  10. RB Bishop Sankey

Sankey, 24, was taken with the No. 54 overall pick in 2014. He was in the third year of his four-year, $3.843 million contract and set to make a base salary of $769,408 in 2016 when he was cut loose coming out of the preseason.

The Patriots later signed him to their practice squad at the start of the season. However, the Chiefs later signed him off of the Patriots’ practice squad but cut him loose earlier in the week.

In 2015, Sankey appeared in 13 games for the Titans and ran for 193 yards on 47 carries (4.1 YPC) to go along with 14 receptions for 139 yards receiving and two total touchdowns.
