The Minnesota Vikings announced the signing of RB Kevin Monangai on Thursday.
Monangai, 23, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Villanova back in August of last year. He was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason, but was later added to the team’s practice squad a few weeks into the season.
The Eagles elected to bring Monangai back on a future/reserve contract before placing him on waivers shortly after this year’s draft.
Over the course of four years at Villanova, Monangai ram for 3,167 yards while averaging 5.1 yards-per-carry to go along with 29 touchdowns. He also contributed 38 receptions for 274 yards receiving and five touchdown receptions.
Monangai has yet to appear in an NFL game.
