Vikings Sign WR Jarius Wright To A Four-Year, $14.8M Extension

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Vikings have signed WR Jarius Wright to a four-year extension worth $14.8 million.

  • Rapoport adds that Wright will receive $7 million guaranteed as part of this agreement.

The Vikings reportedly view Wright as a “key part” of their young core, and a No. 3 receiver who can grow in the coming years, according to Rapoport.

Wright, 25, was entering the final year of his four-year, $2,520,108 rookie contract that included a $420,108 signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Wright appeared in all 16 games and caught 42 passes for 588 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also contributed 71 rushing yards on five carries. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 53 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.
