Vikings Sign Second-Round RB Dalvin Cook, Wrap Up Draft Class

The Minnesota Vikings announced Wednesday that they’ve signed second-round RB Dalvin Cook to a four-year rookie contract.

According to OverTheCap.com, Cook will receive a four-year contract worth $6,353,310, which includes a signing bonus of $2,760,588.

Cook, 21, was selected by the Vikings with the No. 41 overall pick after they elected to trade up from No. 47 with the Bengals. In total, the Vikings gave up a second- and fourth-round pick in this year’s draft for the right to select Cook.

His combine performance was disappointing, but NFL teams seem to think his overall resume outweighs some of the concerns that arose from his workout in Indianapolis.

During his three years at Florida State, Cook appeared in 38 games and rushed for 4,464 yards on 687 carries (6.5 YPC) to go along with 79 receptions for 935 yards receiving and 48 total touchdowns.
